Packaging Supervisor - 2nd Shift

About the Job
The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing packaging operations to ensure products are filled, packaged, and prepared for distribution in accordance with company quality and safety standards. This role monitors machine operations, leads team members, ensures we are hitting production targets, and ensures compliance with all operational guidelines.

This role will be supervising our 2nd Shift operations, which run roughly 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM. 

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and properly utilize required PPE at all times. 
  • Lead, direct, and mentor staff to achieve production goals and company objectives. 
  • Monitor and document production output and personnel performance; hold team members accountable and administer disciplinary action when necessary. 
  • Communicate material or equipment issues to the Maintenance department to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. 
  • Enforce compliance with all cGMP, HACCP, and food safety standards, promoting a culture of safety and quality. 
  • Review and execute daily production schedules, adjusting labor allocation as needed to meet operational demands. 
  • Partner with Inventory teams to resolve discrepancies, variances, and posting errors to ensure inventory accuracy. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Prior experience as a Packaging Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of packaging operations and production processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and delegate tasks. 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
